Final FY 20 Budget Committee's Budget Docket

Are you a woodland owner or enthusiast who has been impacted by oak mortality in the wake of the recent gypsy moth caterpillar infestations? The Eastern Rhode Island Conservation District is offering a free educational morning to learn about the current
state of Rhode Island's woodlots, what the future holds, and resources available for landowners looking to protect their forest health. Keynote speaker Dr. Jeff Ward of the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station will present "Gypsy Moth and Oak Forests-Past, Present, and Future" while representatives from your local Conservation Districts, the Rhode Island Forest Conservators Organization (RIFCO), the RIDEM Divison of Forestry, the Rhode Island Tree Farm Committee, and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service will be available to provide information and resources specific to the needs of Rhode Island's woodland owner community. To view the full agenda or register, visit nricd.org.
