Board of Canvassers

The Tiverton Board of Canvassers is charged with conducting all elections for the Town of Tiverton. Under the direction of the State Board of Elections, and in cooperation with the Secretary of State, the Tiverton Board of Canvassers are involved in all phases of the electoral process, from voter registration to tallying the votes after the polls close on Election Day.
It is the goal of the Tiverton Board of Canvassers to ensure the will of the Town's citizens is accurately voiced in each Municipal, State and General Election; and to serve the Town Council and the citizens of Tiverton by registering new voters and encouraging all citizens to vote.

UPCOMING 2024 ELECTIONS

 Tuesday, September 10 th , 2024 – RI Statewide Primaries
 Tuesday, November 5 th , 2024 – General Presidential Election

 Register to Vote by going online to vote.ri.gov or by completing a RI Voter Registration form and submitting it to your local Board of Canvassers
 To be eligible to Vote in an Election you must register 30 days prior, per RIGL 17-9. 1-3.
 Verify your current registration information by going online to vote.ri.gov or by contacting your local Board of Canvassers
 Is your name correct?
 Is your address up-to-date?
 Is your party affiliation correct? (Important in Primaries only)
 Make any changes now to your voter information by using the website vote.ri.gov
