The Animal Control Officer's name is Paul Bell. The Animal Control Officer is responsible for the laws governing the control of domestic animals in the Town of Tiverton. (See town ordinances Section 10, also State Laws Title 4 Chapter 13). Stray dogs that are picked up are taken to the Sakonnet Veterinary Hospital, as this is the Towns Dog Pound. After a required time period the dogs that are not claimed can be adopted (See Petfinder.com for dogs that are up for adoption by the Town.)
