Established and new artists are invited to exhibit their works in Tiverton’s Town Hall, 343 Highland Road, Tiverton. The Tiverton Town Hall is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00
pm.

Photo Day at
Pardon Gray
Forty-seven young students and their families converged on Pardon Gray Preserve in Tiverton on a cold and wet May weekend this year to photograph the preserve’s natural wonders. The
results of their efforts will be celebrated in an exhibition at Tiverton Town Hall, 343 Highland Road.
The Tiverton Land Trust, Tiverton Arts Council, Sakonnet Arts Network, Tiverton Open Space Commission, Tiverton Drug Prevention Coalition and the Tiverton Schools sponsored this project. Photographers
who mentored the students included Christine Mello, Serena Charlebois, Ashley Hetland, Rick Barrett, Cecilia Van Hof, and Tiverton High School seniors Kyle Sandler and Kayleigh McKitchen.
Disposable cameras and film processing were provided for each student in grades K through 4. Students in grades 5–12 used their own cameras and developed their film. One photo from
each student was selected for enlargement. The enlargements were displayed during the summer at the Sakonnet Growers’ Market. Up to two additional 4 x 6 photos were selected from each
student for inclusion in a photomontage. All of the selected photos will be on display.
The exhibition will run from September 2 – October 27, 2008. The Tiverton Town Hall is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
The exhibition is hosted by the Tiverton Arts Council. The Arts Council is a town created, five-member committee, charged with the duty of enhancing and promoting the arts in Tiverton and educating
the public as to the value of the arts in building community.
