Featured Artist: Kelley Carey MacDonald
Kelley Carey MacDonald is a Tiverton resident who works in oils and acrylics. Largely self taught, she has studied with various local and nationally known artists, and has a degree in Art History from Wheaton College. She blogs her painting process through a daily and a studio blog at http://kelleymacdonalddailypaint.blogspot.com/
Kelley lives with her husband and 2 cats on Tiverton’s riverfront, and she is inspired every day by the particular beauty of the Sakonnet River area and the skies above it. She looks for technical inspiration through many of the great masters of art history, especially Sargent, Sorolla, Van Gogh, Winslow Homer, and Degas.
A member of many local and regional art associations, Kelley frequently paints plein air (outdoors, on location) and can be seen along the Sakonnet River, on Aquidneck Island or in nearby Westport, MA, with her easel, trying to capture a particular moment on her canvas.
An award winning artist who participates in many local art shows as well as national juried shows, Kelley maintains a studio in an amazing renovated grain elevator in Warren, RI. She can be contacted at kcareymac@hotmail.com. Studio visits are welcome, by appointment.Home | Exhibitions | Education | Links | Contact Us
